1.NDA (National Defence Academy)
NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year for the candidates who want to join indian army after 12.
NDA exam is conducted for the post in indian army, indian navy and indian air force. Age limit for giving exam is 16.5- 19.5.
Any one who have cleared their 12th can give exam but for joining indian navy and indian air force one has to clear 12th with science stream having physics and mathematics as main subject.
Candidates who have cleared writen exam will be called for an interview which is conducted by SSB(service selection board).
After clearing interview selected candidates will be called for an medical test. After clearing medical test you will go through 3 years training at NDA pune and one year training at IMA.
2.TES (TECHNICAL ENTRY SCHEME)
Candidates who have cleared there 12th and want to join indian army without giving any writen examination like NDA can apply for TES.
Eligibility criteria to apply for TES is candidate should have cleared 12th with science stream with physics, chemistry and mathematics (reffered to as PCM) with minimum aggregate of 60% in physics, chemistry and mathematics. Candidate must have appeared in JEE (Mains).
Age limit for applying this government job is 16.5-19.5. shortlisted candidate will be called for an interview which is conducted by SSB.
3.SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices)
SCRA exam is conducted by UPSC every year. UPSC mainly conducts this exam for railway service recruitment.
Eligibility criteria for applying this government job is candidate should have cleared 12th from recognized university or board with mathematics as compulsory subject along with physics or chemistry.
SCRA exam is conducted in 2 stages
Stage 1: consist of 3 papers MCQ based for 600 marks

SSC CHSL exam is conducted for students who have cleared their 12th from any stream and wants to work in various departments and offices of government.
SSC conducts this exam for different posts like:

. Junior Secretariat Assistant
. Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant
. Data Entry Operator posts
SSC CHSL exam is conducted every year
For getting this government job candidate is needed to clear three different phases of exam in order to get selected for different post in government offices.
. Tier 1 exam is objective MCQ paper which is conducted in online mode

5. SSC STENOGRAPHER
This exam is conducted by SSC every year for the recruitment of stenographer for grade C and grade D post.
Eligibility criteria for applying for this government job is candidate must have cleared 12th from recognized university or board from any stream.
SSC Stenographer test comprises of three sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. There are total 200 questions in test paper. The total marks of the test are 200 and the duration of the test will be two hours.
6. Indian navy
There are two ways by which you can join indian navy. First is by giving NDA exam and second is 10+2 Btech cadet entry scheme in which candidate can join navy without giving any written exam.
For applying for this government job candidate must have cleared 12th from recognized board and should have 70% in PCM and JEE mains rank has been made compulsory to apply for 10+2 Btech entry.
Shortlisted candidated would be called for an interview which is conducted by SSB.
On successfuly completing interview and medical test selected candidates undergo a four year Engineering course at prestigious Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala and Cochin University of Science & technology (CUSAT, for Naval Architecture) under this entry.
7. MTS
MTS exam is conducted by SSC to recruit candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries/ departments of the government of india
SSC conducts this exam in two tiers: CBT and Descriptive paper.
In which tier 1 exam is conducted in online mode and tier 2 exam is conducted in online mode.
Candidate who successfully clear exam will get this government job.
8. Security forces
Candidates who have cleared 12 can apply for different security posts like Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) etc.
These government jobs are very different from defence job.
